Sagrada is a city in California, USA.
It is a peaceful city blessed with the sunny climate of the West Coast, but in recent years it has been plagued by the spread of a highly addictive drug known as "Ripcord".
To crack down on such crimes, the Sakurada Police Department has formed a new organization.
A special investigation division that brings together members with free thinking and skills from different fields, called "Sidekicks".
The division consists of "Chika", who has outstanding athletic ability, "Hibari", a smooth-talking psychological profiler, "Shishiba", a silent genius hacker, "Riko", who excels at instantaneous memory, and "Tatewaki", the leader who brings the four together.
The special investigation division has begun to attract attention from the city with its unconventional investigative methods.
One day, the protagonist "Inori" is scouted as a new member of Sidekicks.
She has a special ability that is unique to her... her constitution allows her to have mysterious precognitive dreams.

"Side Kicks! beyond" also includes crossover episodes featuring characters from "BUSTAFELLOWS". Teuta and her friends come from the east coast town of New Sieg to the west coast town of Sagrada, and while they develop friendly friendships with the Side Kicks members, they get caught up in an incident and find themselves in a relationship between the police and the suspects...!?
