I've been a Goodreads user for atleast 10 years now. It has exactly what I want, which is to just track my books. It is simple, effective and in my experience has the most accurate editions and page number counts. I have never been unsatisfied with the app, I feel no need to go anywhere else to record my reading habits.

Two problems: 1) The app hiccups a second or two after opening it and freezes for at least five seconds. (still true months later) 2) The dark theme is pretty bad. Especially as some buttons/icons retain their light mode colours and that green shade isn't nice on the eyes with the dark background (still true) added problem - the feed doesn't update at all and I haven't seen many people's updates for the two days, unless I use GR on a browser

very useful to keep track of what books I want to read. put lots of room for improvement. why do they even pretend to make personalized book recommendations? it would be an amazing feature, the only other good one besides my TBR list, except the algorithm is absolute trash. half of the books recommended to me are in Finnish??? which I have never and could not read, as all of the books on my list have always been in English. what the heck
