About this app

Built for Chromebooks. Code online, save your sketches in the cloud, and upload them to the Arduino board connected to your device.

Developed to allow you to play with Arduino electronics and programming in a shared, always-up-to-date environment. All the contributed libraries are automatically included, and new Arduino boards are supported out of the box (*).

Arduino Cloud is an online app that lets users create connected IoT projects in the Cloud, create dashboards and configure boards which automatically connect to the Arduino Cloud platform. Designed to provide users with a continuous workflow, Arduino Cloud connects the dots between each part of your journey from inspiration to implementation. Meaning, you now have the ability to manage every aspect of your project from a single dashboard.

All you need to get started is an Arduino account.

The IDE doesn't detect the Arduino devices. DEVICES>ADD DEVICE>ARDUNIO BOARDS>CHOOSE DEVICE. The last selection gives me the pop-up window; "app.ardunio.cc wants to connect to a serial port." The port connected to the UNO shows up for a split second after I connect the device but doesn't show up afterwards for selection. I've performed multiple hard resets of both, switched cables and boards. I emailed support 8/22/2025, as of now, no response.

it looks so great but does not work with my r4 so I didn't try any of my other boards I used the ide disc on a ancient Dell desktop and gotten further so far 25 plus experiments and with 3 off brand nano boards, and a mega 2560 knock off and a uno r3. thing that bugs me most is I really relied on the chrome just help me with my coding that and there is no app for a Chromebook so I would have learn new skills in a new language to build what I'm build I usually 5 star everything but this one!

Don't give up trying to connect your board and finding Serial ports on the app. Check your PC settings for permissions to apps, sites and ports. The app helped me debug and now I can use the web editor on the web site as well.
