Dilemmaspillet

The dilemma game consists of 4 chapters, which deal with the topics of sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR). The dilemma game invites players on a journey to Freetown, Sierra Leone, where they can explore the city's school, market, health clinic, church and mosque. In the game, the user is faced with dilemmas and learning flows, where quizzes, storytelling, interactive videos and mini-games, empower, engage and inform players about learning about sexual rights, puberty, pregnancy, sexually transmitted diseases and contraception.

The graphic design, the stories, the dilemmas, the young characters and the guiding characters, as well as the background music, sound effects and voices in the game, have been co-designed in close collaboration with Save the Children in Sierra Leone, BRAC in Uganda, and creative and talented children and young people from selected local areas in Uganda and Sierra Leone.

The dilemma game can be played individually, in a small group, in the classroom or at home. When the game is played in a small group of children and young people, the game acts as a dialogue tool, which gives users a language to talk to each other about taboo topics, as well as a safe learning space where these topics are communicated and normalized through games, storytelling and a common third person.
