There is an annual fee for Britstops - the so it's free, the service not. The app works well for the most part. I occasionally get an "unauthenticated" error but have resolved it by reinstalling the app. Would be great if that could be resolved, but it's minor.

so i pay £40 for what, a lot of places you still have to pay to stay over and I still have to do all the work. Ringing people to book a spot, if they even answer, it should be a online book in system where you can just book a spot online type in your reg and vehicle and just turn up when you want. Seems like a rip version of park4night. will be telling van people not to bother with this app most pubs and places will just let you stop outside if you ask anyway

absolutely amazing.the wheatshief hotel will take some beating as a stop over. fantastic location and Ideal for Chatsworth house. parking at the rear of the carpark overlooking a field which had sheep and lambs in. every body in the pub were very welcoming. food is great and reasonably priced. the breakfast was out of this world, best I've ever had. I would highly recommend the wheatshief hotel, we will definitely be going back. A++++++++++
