About this app

THE APP FOR SMART CHARGING AND SMART ELECTRICITY USE

Available for: all EU countries

Electric vehicles supported: Tesla, Volkswagen ID, Škoda, BMW, Kia and Hyundai, Audi, Seat, Cupra, Fiat, Renault and more coming soon!

Solar inverters supported: Fronius, Fusionsolar (Huawei), Growatt, Kostal, SolarEdge, Ferroamp, Kostal, SofarSolar, Solax, Solis, Sungrow, SMA and more coming soon!

AUTOMATIC ELECTRIC VEHICLE CHARGING WHEN ELECTRICITY IS THE CHEAPEST AND CLEANEST

Setting static time windows for charging worked almost well with stable prices. With Gridio it is certain that your
vehicle will be charged at optimal times even with the random price jumps we are seeing in current energy markets.

Gridio automatically charges your car when electricity is the cheapest, and usually the cleanest. After you plug in
your vehicle, our algorithms will automatically charge up your vehicle’s battery by your desired time, when electricity
is the cheapest. You reduce the risk from price spikes and automatically lower your energy bill and carbon footprint.

CHARGE WHEN YOU ARE PRODUCING SOLAR ENERGY

Connect your inverter and Gridio makes sure your car is charged with the energy you are producing.

COUNT-DOWN TO THE NEXT CHEAPEST HOUR

While there are other utility apps available that show up-to-the-minute electricity prices, Gridio sets itself apart by
displaying, in real time, a countdown to the next electricity price 'happy hour'. With the countdown timer, people who
want to set up their home appliances to make the most of low-cost electricity can do so accordingly.

NO HARDWARE REQUIRED

Everything works through the app - you connect your vehicle securely to Gridio, set your charging needs,
and we will take care of the rest

There's a screen where it asks me questions about whether I have an EV or not and what my tariff type is, but because I'm unable to select a tariff type (the view extends past my phone screen), I can't proceed. I'll remove this review if the issue is fixed. I have a Samsung Galaxy 24 Ultra Edit: I tried again with the latest version, still has the same issue.

Hi, Thank you for the valuable feedback and highlighting this issue. It is a (small) screen size issue and we will have it fixed asap. It looks like you tested on an older version of Gridio. Please give it a fresh try with our latest version 4.10.18 or later. 🙏🏼

Some progress has been made as of october 2023, now app shows when it expects to charge. i3.is reliably charged at set time daily. Still, used power graph sometimes registers charged energy and sometimes just shows nothing. Can't comment solar compatibility until spring. EDIT: 2025- does not work with Polestar. Unable to log in.

Hi, First of all sorry for the hassle. We really appreciate your feedback. The BMW i3 should be working well now. We have actually made several improvements past weeks. The dropping Fronius integration got a fix just a few days ago. If you still have problems, please let our support know.🙏🏼

The charging itself worked fine with my Renault Zoe. App itself looks nice too. The power consumption part of the app is pretty much useless as it does not take the amount charged from the car but rather estimates it somehow. Which did not work for me. So that makes the savings calculation and charging price useless too. Also the charging price does not include extra costs (power transfer fee and others)
