The reason I give it 3 stars is because of the "schools." They are fun and can help beginners understand the game. It's also fun to replay some of the greatest players in the world games, like Bobby Fischer! But on the flip side, some of them on hard, like "Shogun Stronghold," require you to beat AI on Hard with a timer from a specific setup. Since the timer only counts for you, AI literally just blocks until the timer ends. instead of actually playing chess. That gets OLD FAST! Otherwise 5stars

The 40-second rule isn't working. If I leave a game for less than 15 seconds, the game will time out. Yet, my opponents rarely time out unless they "lose" internet connection. They can run down the clock indefinitely without timing out. So that feature isn't working as advertised. Also, sometimes I just touch the piece I want to move and it will move quickly before I've chosen where to move to. I've sacrificed several queens because of this and lost games.

Hi. Each player has 20 seconds to make their first move when match starts. There is also 40 second auto-resign timer that starts counting if a player losses internet connection or they close the app. This is to respect opponent's time, so they don't have to wait for 15 minutes in case the player is not returning to the match. 2025 Aug Was a great game until the most recent update. previously daily challenges vs the computer were a range of games from easy to hard or medium to hard. Also, when you won cards, you got to select the prize. Now there is no progressive play on the daily challenge (only one game of one strength level) and the cards are applied to a specific prize (not necessarily one you want). Dropping rating from 4 to 1.
