Spark is an idle incremental game in which you take on the role of an ethereal Spark of Life that pops into existence. Gather the raw material that exists around you and use your influence to guide the evolution of both the Cosmos and yourself.

Genuinely one of the best idle games I've ever played. Even a few weeks in, progress still feels like progress and I'm still curious for what comes next. Well balanced and interesting mechanics with the altar of knowledge. Only thing that I'm missing is the ability to read back on the storyline elements, the "epochal moments", but who knows, I might just be one evolution away from that.

Edit as of 2025: I've been playing this in the background of my life since 2018. It's perfect for those that forget about stuff for a while. Love it. Original 2018 review: Perfect time waster. Only issue is that every so many "steps" there is a huge gap between one level of gameplay to the next. Once you get there though you are generally able to catch up in a hurry. Favorite thing is that you can opt to watch a short ad to double your speed for an hour, and it stacks. Clean and easy.

Very intelligent! I love how much thought the programmer put into this. It is very interesting and if you love Math and Astronomy, you'll be hooked. The ads are completely optional but some are for adults so not for a child's phone. I would like to see the speed for everything and to be able to choose my own unit to make comparisons easier; a definition of the terminology (or a link to one) and definitely an "on end" clause to the ads so the program keeps running when the ad ends.
