I've been a big fan of the original "Pirates and Traders," but the sequel "Pirates and Traders 2" has left me a bit disappointed. Since the first game, it seems like some features have gone missing. I can no longer attack ports, and upgrading my ship's rigging or other components doesn't seem possible anymore. I also can't find any missions to take on, which makes the gameplay feel a bit emptier than before. Overall, it's still a fun game, but it is missing essential features.

Been playing the original ao decided to give this a go. Game seems like a huge improvement, there are a lot more commodities to trade with, ship variety also much bigger. Ships can be equipped with different cannons, both aft and stern chasers. Different ammunitions are also available at dockyards. Since the game is still early access, many features still missing. I have yet to encounter duels of any kind for example. Lots of potential here, all the best for the dev!!

There are a few bugs, the game is pretty empty in current state, but it's under development so no complaints about it. I love the idea and the core of the game. The battle system is fine as it is, no need to overcomplicate it. If it's going to be about trading, planning, politics (in a way) with possible development of own fraction, production, trade networks, rivals, wars etc etc, I'm so into it. Of course it's rough on the edges, but I'm looking forward to seeing what's coming up later.
