Ads every 5 mins, but they're short. I'd love to purchase game, but not monthly or yearly. The ads every 5 mins make me lose interest. They have side islands, but the time limits to earn what's needed to play these adventures is too short. I often get discouraged & move onto other vendors. Too bad, it's otherwise a great adventure game.

The game itself is pretty good. There's a fairly large number of forced ads, but I have seen much worse in other games. One significant complaint I have is that the performance of the game is much worse than all of the competitors I have tried. The framerate is often low and I have to move my finger slowly for it to register every square I try to paint. Edit: I think I found the cause of the performance issues. I noticed that the game starts lagging whenever an animated banner ad starts playing

I do genuinely enjoy the game, but now and then, the audio of an ad will just start, even though there is no ad, and there's no way to close it without closing the app, and that's only temporary. EDIT: great game, the only issues I've had with it have been fixed. The only thing to keep in mind is that at the moment, there are a limited number of islands, so once you're done there's not much left to do apart from building your own flat isle
