I once had it at 5 stars, because once you find where everything is it flows really well and is easy to use. However, if you have a decent sized library, it starts to slow down and glitch out and crash. I feel like standalone players are usually used by huge music lovers, and yet even around 100gb of music is a lot for the app to handle. On one hand, I get its a lot to work with. On the other hand, its kind of the point. Still probably my favorite player though

several phones ago, I realized it had become the norm to exclude a music player pre installed. I download all my songs, and needed something so I could play them properly and make playlists. I've stuck with this one because it has no ads, doesn't charge you premium for basic features (not even sure it has a premium version tbh), and you can edit your music files if they're wrong. had several albums out of order for years- not anymore! genuinely can't recommend enough

The newest update v4.0.7 is breaking the main component of the app, playing music. When skipping songs, sometimes the previous song would continue playing over the next song, and in order to stop the previous song from playing, I have to skip to the previous song and pause that song. Also, when the player automatically skips to the next song, sometimes it doesn't play any audio. This is with and without gapless playback on as well as clearing cache, etc.
