A classic well-reimagined. Moving with touch controls is a bit imprecise, the budget feels tight, and this feels a bit disrespectful to the original remake. But it's fun, the music's great, and it's a very unique experience to play an almost straight conversion of a Gameboy game like this.

Almost 1:1 remake of the original gameboy. It's is a lot easier since you are no longer constrained to four directions, and now the spells have some auto targeting, but apart from the 3d face-lift, this will strike you as the exact game you remember. Oh, that also means your npc partners and enemy mobs are just as stupid as they were before. Also, make sure to pack plenty of mattocks and keys, so you don't get stuck... thankfully, I remembered that from when I was a kid.

It might be a 1-to-1 remake of an old GB classic, but even with that in mind, it doesn't hold up to today's standard. I played a couple of hours and it's easy to get lost, not have what you need, backtrack, etc. Graphics are dull and seem cheap, combat is clunky and not satisfying, menus are a pain to use. I've played tons of old JRPG, action and turn based, and loved them. This one was disappointing for what I could see of it.
