Sometimes you activate the ticket on your phone and get a QR code, but the confirmation email arrives two-three minutes later, that means that according to De Lijn system you haven't activated the ticket even when you already have the QR Code >:( It's better to buy the old-fashioned paper ticket.

de lijn is the worst public transport company I've ever encountered. half of the busses outside of the city don't come. and when they do check ups to see if you paid for their "service", they tell you to pay before you get on the bus. that has a 50% chance of not being there. I wish there were other options , but sadly no. either the price should go down , or the service should improve.
