still runs fine on my pixel 8±, but docking dev for releasing the app a second time and expecting anyone who's paid into this app to migrate. as far as I can see the new version, which is still in beta, is almost verbatim sd maid 1, with a way jankier UI. If the old version doesn't work with new phones [bs, still works perfect on mine] then what exactly is the point of re-releasing the app, and charging people who already paid?? no thanks. figure it out dude

I get your frustration. SD Maid 2 is a full rebuild, not just a copy, needed for upcoming Android restrictions. Old SD Maid might work *now*, but won't forever. I wish I could give upgrades for free; Play Store doesn't allow this across separate apps. If you want to know more, just email me!

I've tried many apps like this. Been using this for years. Works flawlessly, never crashes, does what it says and has never caused a nightmare by deleting something important. User makes final decision as to what will be deleted.... duplicate, empty files, left over junk from deleted apps, etc. Buy the "Pro" add-on. For a change, this one is actually with the money!

A bit tricky to set up, and there's also the fear of losing data that u may not want to lose, like some empty folders u may hv setup for other apps to use, like sharing photos and sending them to a designated folder. Without being aware of this, it's easy to lose such folders, which means u hv to go through the whole process again of resetting them. Hw, I contacted the developers who helped me out and reassured me that with a few simple measures, such losses can easily be avoided.
