This app was OK until the most recent update. Since this update, traveling in India, I was unable to use it as it requires sign-in with Canon ID. Even with a proper Wifi connection, I was not able to connect with Canon ID. And without any connectivity, which is realistic when traveling far from the inhabited world, this app is completely useless. The requirement to connect with Canon ID is probably not properly thought over by Canon. I switched back to version 3.2, which works fine!

The latest update forces you to make an account to access features I don't need. The only thing I want is to access my camera directly, transferring pictures and using the remote live shooting. I recommend downloading an older version of the app from somewhere else. 3.2.40.36 (77) is the latest version of this app that does not require an account.

It is a troublesome app (V2.29). Only if AND Wifi AND Bluetooth And Location are switched ON, it might work. Then I have to do some resets of the camera (R6) and the phone (Android). Then most of the time, I can transfer JPG files to my phone. But only to a predefined location. I did not find a way to copy my photos directly to an additional microSD of 256GB on my phone. Best way is to buy an OTG cardreader and use that configuration to copy both JPG and RAW photos to your phone.....
