The app is inaccurate and is often off by 2 stops or more. Each stop is double the amount of light, so 2 stops is 4x the amount of light! It would be excusable to be off by 20 or 30 percent, which would come out to 1/3 stop or so, just due to individual differences between devices, or need for calibration, etc. However, being off by 4x the amount of light, or more, there's no excuse for that.

I can't test the accuracy yet, but this is the first of a dozen light meter apps I've tried that appears even close to my expectations. It's also the only one that appears to be setup as a functional ambient meter with rear camera. The default setup is a bit busy, but if you set Basic Interface and Expanded Interface in the settings, then it's a perfect handheld meter. Also one of the few meters that doesnt force you to use menus to change the ISO or f/stop.

Allows calibration, but should allow more! I would advise users to first calibrate the app with the help of a DSLR. Upon installing, the app was overexposing by two stops. It allows calibration, but only to 2.0 EV. This is still overexposed by one stop, but from here it is easy to compensate (as well as the fact that many photographers advise overexposing by one stop when using film). If the developers add an update to allow calibrating beyond 2.0 EV, I will update this review to 5 stars.
