'' Slate, local currency, citizen and complementary in Semois and Lesse

Many aspects of our life currently depend on powers over which we have no control. These include, for example, the stock market, international finance and tax avoidance multinationals.

Local currencies have the effect of favoring traders, producers and local jobs. They give citizens, by bringing them closer together, the possibility of deciding more about their way of life.

There are already around ten local currencies in Wallonia, including 2 in the province of Luxembourg and 3 in the province of Namur. They integrate with local trading systems (LETS), joint purchasing groups (GACs), repair cafes and local development agencies (LDAs) to the broader transition movement.

Region between Semois and Lesse?
Nine municipalities and surroundings are concerned.
The region between Semois and Lesse extends over the provinces of Namur and Luxembourg. It brings together 9 municipalities which are newly included under the name of southern Ardennes.
