Downloaded this for easier offline playing of music when I'm don't have mobile service. it was working well for that until i realized it wasn't resuming where I left off. Every time I start my truck it goes back to track 1 of the last album I selected. I could be 5 songs deep and instead of picking up were I left off it restarts track one. Then I noticed if I rotate my phone it would restart the current track each time, then the app crashed, then the play/pause button flashed without playing.

It used to be great, then it stopped displaying track data via Bluetooth. The only thing that seems to fix this is to reinstall. Then after a few weeks it stops again. Also if it fails to download a track sure to loss of signal, it won't try to download again, it will just stop midway through the track. There's no way to force the track to redownload, so it can't be listened to until the cache is reset, and there's no simple way to it. I can't really recommend this in it's current state.

Music player works well, but podcasts are unusable. Half the time the podcast will download and just be stuck at "Buffering". Weird UI issues where two podcasts will have identical lengths, checkboxes will then not work independently and the wrong podcast will play. Taskbar background control sometimes has an X to close sometimes not, sometimes just hangs around after quitting the app.

What’s new

Ultrasonic 4 brings along a complete overhaul of how media is being played back. We have switched to a modern library to handle the playback and fixed wuite a few bugs in the process. Additionally the Offline mode now supports browsing based on ID3 tags. Go to the project page to see full changelog.
