Burakjee mabaŋ naanu

This application, “بُرِكْجٚي مَبَݝ نَانُ ” (“The words of Maba”) is a Maba-Arabic dictionary and linguistic research tool for the Maba language (in Arabic script) of eastern Chad. It provides an alphabetical list of words in Maba. Simply click on a word to obtain details, including grammatical category, Arabic definition and sometimes example sentences. An alphabetical index, in which Arabic definitions refer to Maba words, is also provided. The application contains a powerful search tool. Click on the search icon, enter the word or part of the word (be sure to uncheck the “Whole words” option) you wish to find. The application will display all occurrences of this word in the entire database, whether in entries, definitions or example phrases, in Maba or Arabic.
