The only reason I installed this app was to attempt to restore notifications to show that payments have gone in. I was disappointed when Santander ceased these notifications in May, but I wrongly thought that they could be reconfigured via the app - how wrong I was !!. Please restore those notifications ? Response - but they are not the messages I want. I am fed up with repeatedly accessing the app just to see when certain payments are in - it is important also for those who do NOT want an app.

Hi Anne, By using our app and online banking services which are available 24/7, we believe customers will have a more detailed view of their account activity this way. Scan a cheque does not work! Scans the front, but not the back, it continually says, "That didn't work." I've changed lighting and background but nothing! Maybe you need to try features out to make sure they work in a home environment, as this clearly doesn't! So now i have to waste my time driving to a local branch. Update: Followed your instructions, and still nothing so took in branch. Update: Another cheque arrived, this app failed again, so deposited in Halifax. Their app is flawless

The photo will be taken automatically when the image is steady and clear, you can take the photo manually as well. Make sure the cheque is on a flat, dark surface and is in good light. Make sure you capture the whole cheque, including the edges and the printed numbers at the bottom. Make sure your image is not blurry and everything is in focus. ^PH

Generally I like Santander but there's many teething issues that don't seem to be rectified. Is the balance widget meant to be working now? Been waiting a long time. Mine and my friend's doesn't work. Says 'Something went wrong, widget is currently unavailable'. Also sometimes when sending payments, balances don't immediately update, so I'm left unsure if a payment was sent, or what the actual balance is. Sometimes closing and opening the app corrects this but it's just laborious in big 2025.
