What Is Dreyfus Critique

Hubert Dreyfus was an opponent of the study being done on artificial intelligence. A gloomy evaluation of AI's progress and a critique of the philosophical foundations of the discipline were offered by him in a number of papers and books, including Alchemy and AI (1965), What Computers Can't Do (1986), and Mind over Machine (1986). Concerns raised by Dreyfus are addressed in the vast majority of introductory materials pertaining to the philosophy of artificial intelligence.
