Who is Anne Robert Jacques Turgot

Anne Robert Jacques Turgot, Baron de l'Aulne, more usually referred to as Turgot, was a French scholar and politician who specialized in economics. It is generally accepted that he was the first economist to recognize the law of diminishing marginal returns in the context of agriculture.
