About this audiobook

Testosterone is more commonly known as the male hormone. It drives maleness. It is what makes a male a man. It maintains the reproductive organs, as well as drive libido. It is also one of the hormones that contribute to that male aggressiveness and drive to achieve something. It is also present in much smaller amounts in women.

This hormone is not just all about sex and reproductive organs. T hormone also plays a role in maintaining body function. It contributes to better fat metabolism in the body. It plays a role in muscle building. It also helps in regulating, maintaining and protecting various organs in the body such as the heart. If the body cannot produce enough T hormones, a lot can happen. The reproductive functioning is reduced. Muscle mass decline and fat storage accelerates. There is also a higher risk for serious chronic illnesses like diabetes, stroke, heart attack and, even cancer.

Finally, it should be pointed out that this book is not inappropriately enthusiastic about testosterone replacement therapy. But rather it very carefully spells out the need for an accurate diagnosis of testosterone deficiency, an analysis of the potential benefits and drawbacks of treatment, and the importance of the proper monitoring of therapy.

I highly recommend this book for anyone who is currently using or contemplating using testosterone. It will give you the tools to have intelligent conversations and questions to your doctor. And doctors tend to prescribe hormones a lot easier to patients who have done their homework.

Great overview of TRT with scientific and anecdotal experience. It is pragmatic, well balanced and is a well articulated and structured read. Recommended for anyone wanting to understand Testosterone, TRT or who is looking at getting on it.
