In a football-obsessed Texas town, injured NFL star Jackson takes on a temporary coaching job, hoping to rehabilitate his career and reputation. This is a heartwarming story. Jackson and Calla start out as adversaries but soon find themselves falling for each other. The town’s obsession with football becomes critical to the plot after a hazing incident, forcing the characters to grow beyond their comfort zone. I enjoyed the audiobook narration. Thanks, NetGalley, for the ARC I received.
