It was a dark and stormy night when Susie ventured into the old, decrepit mansion that stood abandoned on the outskirts of town. At last, Susie descended a narrow staircase that led down into the depths of the mansion. The air grew cold and musty, sending shivers down her spine. The beam of her flashlight revealed cracked stone walls and a low ceiling, and the sound of dripping water echoed through the murky darkness. She came to a heavy wooden door, its surface adorned with strange, runic symbols that seemed to pulse with a sinister energy.
