The Next Stop

Daphne, in her late thirties, boards a train one morning on her way to work. Recently single after ending a five-year relationship, she anticipates another typical day in the city. But when the train halts at an unfamiliar station, Daphne steps into a surreal journey that warps her life with each stop. She finds herself reliving scenes from her past, starting at age five. Her father, an alcoholic, argues with her overworked mother, who struggles to keep their family afloat. In school, Daphne faces teasing because of her family's poverty. Each station becomes a puzzle piece revealing the painful and hidden parts of her life.

The train ride forces Daphne to confront emotions she has suppressed for years. She sees how she coped by nurturing others while neglecting her own needs.
