This is the tale of a night when the legend became a terrifying reality for a group of friends: Ethan, Mia, Alex, and Debra.

"Have you guys heard of the Wicked Hour?" Ethan asked, his voice dropping to a whisper.
Mia rolled her eyes. "Don't start with your spooky stories again, Ethan. We're not kids."
"No, listen," Ethan insisted. "They say that at exactly 3 AM, the veil between our world and the next is at its weakest. Spirits, demons, all sorts of creatures can slip through."
Alex chuckled. "Sounds like a load of nonsense."
Debra, however, shivered. "What if it's true?"
"It's just a legend," Ethan reassured her, though a part of him wondered.
