Nicki's debut novel, Ellis River, is the 2023 winner of the Independent Book Publishers Association's Bill Fisher Award for Best First Book - Fiction. The novel was also a finalist for the Eric Hoffer First Horizons Award, received an Honorable Mention for the Eric Hoffer Grand Prize, and was a semi-finalist for the Publishers Weekly Booklife Prize. Nicki Ehrlich's novel, Zephyr Trails, is the second in the Ellis River trilogy. Zephyr Trails has won a gold Independent Publishers Book Award (IPPY), the Literary Titan Gold Award, and received outstanding reviews from Kirkus Reviews and Publishers Weekly Booklife. Nicki is now at work on the third book of the trilogy. Nicki holds a Certificate in Creative Writing from Monterey Peninsula College and is a member of the Independent Book Publishers Association, the Alliance for Independent Authors, the Authors Guild, and the Central Coast branch of the California Writers Club.
