About the author
Sir Arthur Conan Doyle (1859-1930), a Scottish writer whose works include science fiction stories, historical novels, plays, romances, poetry, and nonfiction, is best known as the creator of the detective Sherlock Holmes.
Gary Furlong grew up in Wexford, Ireland. Throughout his life he has worked as a teacher in Niigata, Japan; a puppeteer in Prague; an improv artist in Memphis, Tennessee; and as a singer and actor in Ireland. Now an AudioFile Earphones Award-winning narrator, Gary has recorded over fifty titles in a variety of genres.
