About this audiobook

With her name mired in scandal, Cornelia Mortmain's marriage prospects are nil.

Celebrated explorer Ethan Burnell has all the ladies swooning, but he's exactly the sort of 'dangerous man' Cornelia has sworn off.

When Burnell's sister throws a Christmas house-party, intent on fixing him up with a bride, he sees only one way out: a fake engagement for the duration of the festivities!

Cornelia knows she's crazy to agree to the plan, but has faith Ethan's "adoration" will bring other suitors running.

Can she put up with his cocky ways (without wringing his neck?)

The game is on!

What to expect: Witty banter and laugh-out-loud scenes, a bluestocking heroine who meets her match, a fake engagement, and a Christmas party that changes everything.

really like the story and the reader takes a minute to get used to but is good. also the background sounds don't play the whole time only a a few short parts and that's nice because I not a fan of sound effects while book is read.

I really enjoyed this story. It was fun and entertaining. It had wonderful characters and a HEA. It features a small dog that has a part to play in the story. I liked that. It has romance, teasing and humour. Even the secondary characters feel well developed. Cornelia's old aunts were funny as well always taking every opportunity to embarrass or shock Cornelia. The narrator was good with all the different voices and there were a few sound effects here and there that added to the atmosphere.
