The plot, for its part, is derived from psychology; in which the author tried to fathom the depths of human behavior away from the tripartite taboos: politics, religion and sex. Although the novel touched upon all three taboos, it never violated any moral codes, broke any taboo, nor even offended any religious doctrine.
When you finish reading the novel, you will discover that you badly need to re-read it; you will discover that much of what took you by surprise at the end was just under your nose right from the very beginning, but, being human, you did not notice!
