About this ebook

Sequel to The Recruit

As a freshly turned vampire, Neil had frozen in panic when he'd found himself face-to-face with his ex-boyfriend, Cameron. Neil thought that misstep and its associated danger was all in the past, but Cameron’s current boyfriend, Dennis, is like a dog with a bone, and a keen imagination. When the two men’s curiosity progresses to the point the vampires consider their secrecy to be endangered, choices must be made.

Now that faction-leader Albert has a blood-mate, he finds himself second-guessing his decisions. Neil would be crushed knowing his mistake led to human deaths, but Albert shouldn’t factor that into the difficult choices he must make. Will Albert’s indecision put the entire vampire establishment in danger? Or is redemption only a flamethrower away?

A good follow-up story to The Recruit. The Choice is the second book in The Faction series and you really need to read book one, The Recruit, first to understand The Choice. In The Recruit, newly turned vampire, Neil, slipped up a bit when he unexpectedly ran into his former boyfriend, Cameron. That slip is now coming back to haunt The Faction. It's also left Albert, Neil's bloodmate and leader of The Faction, in a bit of a difficult position. For the first time Albert is questioning decisions he makes and that's not good for The Faction. Cameron and his new boyfriend, Dennis, are given a choice and that's primarily what this book is about. I really can't say too much without giving things away. If you enjoyed The Recruit I think you will really want to read The Choice. According to the author's website a third installment in this series is in the works. Neither The Recruit nor The Choice end on what I would call a cliffhanger. Each has a satisfying ending but at the end of The Choice I was definitely left wanting to read more about Albert and Neil. The Choice wasn't quite as compelling of a read for me as The Recruit but I still found it to be a very good story and I'm looking forward to reading the next one in this series. An advanced copy of this book was provided to me but my review was voluntary and not influenced by the author. ***Reviewed for Xtreme-Delusions dot com***
