"AKASHI" (in Assamese language) was the fortnightly journal published by ALL INDIA RADIO,Calcutta started on Feb.,22nd 1958.
Journal was widely read and provided a useful link between broadcasting and its listeners. The reprinting of broadcast talks, poems and detailed information about broadcast personalities, stimulated interest and enabled listeners to have a permanent record of a talk or what so ever,they might have greatly enjoyed.
