About this ebook

Sonny Daye works hard in the business he and his lover Ace have built from scratch. He sweats through days that shouldn’t be so hot, he fixes cars that shouldn’t be broke—he even puts up with customers that oughta just drive off the road and spare the car and Sonny himself the pain. On an ordinary day, Sonny can help a bunch of stupid kids, teach a snotty rich guy a lesson, and stop a felon in his tracks without killing him! It's hard work indeed—but Sonny’ll do anything for Ace.

I have loved and wanted to protect and hug (not that he'd welcome it) Sonny Daye practically from the first moment he showed up in the pages of Racing for the Sun lo these many years ago. This is a glimpse into a day in his life several years and adventures later. This story is included in Amy's new release of short stories, Only Fish, and serves as a terrific introduction both to that book and to Amy's Fish Out Of Water universe - a collection of three separate yet intertwined series we call the Fishiverse. A Perfectly Sonny Daye is also a great way to dip your toe into this amazing universe and decide if it's somewhere you'd like to spend more time. To help you out if you choose to jump in with us, here is the reading order for the whole universe. Racing for the Sun Fish Out of Water Red Fish Dead Fish A Few Good Fish Hiding the Moon Fish on a Bicycle Shades of Henry School of Fish Constantly Cotton Fish in a Barrel Sean's Sunshine Only Fish

About the author

Writer, knitter, mother, wife, award-winning author Amy Lane shows her love in knitwear, is
frequently seen in the company of tiny homicidal dogs, and can’t believe all the kids haven’t left
the house yet. She lives in a crumbling crapmansion in the least romantic area of California, has
a long-winded explanation for everything, and writes to silence the voices in her head. There are
a lot of voices—she’s written over 120 books.
