About the author

Dr. Anand Achari has been working as an architect in India and teaching graduate and post graduate students in architecture from the past 23 years. He specializes in environmental architecture and sustainability having specialization in climate studies. He has been practicing Green Building Certification in India from the past 2 decades. He is a founding Principal of VESCOA, India, since 2018.

Harshad Bhatia, Urban Designer & Architect with gold medalist qualifications, is Design Chair at VESCOA, Mumbai. His career began as Project Architect with Charles Correa Architects, then ran an independent Firm from 1986. Currently a hired brain solo practitioner, he is a notable academic & distinguished Ekistics scholar and an acclaimed writer & editor, based in Mumbai.

Prof. Anil Nagrath has been practicing and teaching since 1974, working on diverse residential, institutional, commercial, and industrial projects with a focus on climate-responsive design. He was Editor of the Journal of the Indian Institute of Architects and Secretary of the International Association for Humane Habitat. He has also co-edited books on award-winning projects.

Nitin Liladhar Rane serves as an Associate Editor for many reputed journals such as Springer, Elsevier, Frontiers, IEEE, Taylor and Francis etc. He has authored 70+ research papers in various international journals, including Springer, Elsevier, Taylor and Francis with 5500+ citations to his name. He serves as a project evaluator for the MUNIS BIRD Programme, ESF and AUS.

Dr. Chaitanya Baliram Pande completed his Ph.D. in environment science. He has more than 13 years of teaching, research and industry experience. He is included in the 2% Stanford scientist list, 2024. He has published 120+ research papers, 2 textbooks, 10 edited books, 19 conference papers and 25+ book chapters.
