About this ebook

DISCOVER THE UNEXPECTED RAMAYANA: SHOCKING VARIATIONS YOU NEVER KNEW EXISTED

Did you know the famous Lakshmana Rekha doesn't exist in Valmiki's original Ramayana? Or that in some versions, Sita marries both Rama and Lakshmana?

Bestselling mythologist Anand Neelakantan unveils the surprising evolution of Asia's greatest epic across cultures and centuries. From Thailand to Tibet, from ancient manuscripts to folk traditions, experience how this sacred text transforms in astonishing ways:

  • Ravana's sister Surpanakha portrayed as a victim rather than villain
  • Sita identified as Ravana's daughter in Thai and Tibetan versions
  • The complete absence of the famous Lakshmana Rekha in earliest texts
  • Dramatic plot changes that challenge everything you thought you knew

Many Ramayanas, Many Lessons goes beyond retelling to explore what Valmiki originally intended and how these stories evolved over millennia. Perfect for mythology enthusiasts, history buffs, and spiritual seekers alike.

Dive into the rich tapestry of interpretations that make the Ramayana not just one story but many - a living testament to cultural plurality and timeless wisdom that continues to resonate today.

From the author of the bestselling Asura series, and Bahubali: The Rise of Sivagami comes another masterpiece that will transform how you understand Indian mythology forever.
