Es ist wirklich zu seltsam! Seit Tagen schon wird Isabelle Wendlinger vermisst, und niemand hat auch nur die geringste Ahnung, wo sie sein kann. Obwohl fast alle Einwohner von St. Christoph nach ihr suchen, fehlt noch immer jede Spur von der jungen Bäuerin.
Auch der Bergdoktor macht sich große Sorgen. Was, wenn sie in die Berge gegangen ist und sich dort so schwer verletzt hat, dass sie nicht mehr nach Hause kann? Seine Suche führt ihn rauf auf den Feldkopf und an einer einsamen Hütte vorbei. Und tatsächlich: Als er an die Tür klopft, öffnet ihm Isabelle. Doch die junge Frau ist kaum wiederzuerkennen! Schlecht sieht sie aus, aschfahl und krank. Himmel, was mag ihr nur zugestoßen sein?
