About the author

Sir Andrew Baker is a High Court judge (Mr Justice Andrew Baker), appointed to the King’s Bench Division (including the Commercial Court) in November 2016 after a career at the Commercial Bar. He became the Admiralty Judge in August 2020 on the retirement of Mr Justice Teare.

John Kimball is a Senior Counsel of Blank Rome LLP and an Adjunct Professor at New York University Law School.

Julian Kenny KC is a barrister at Twenty Essex, practising in shipping and commercial law.

Tom Belknap is a Partner of Blank Rome LLP and co-practice group leader of the firm’s Maritime Group. He is also an Adjunct Professor at New York University Law School.
