About this ebook

Back when there was no such thing as Ultimate Fighting Championship or Mixed Martial Arts, Andy had been studying a number of fighting disciplines for decades. Early on, however, his punching power seemed to reach a plateau. Not being satisfied with the striking force he was generating, Andy began studying the science of body mechanics. In a few weeks, he was able to deliver knockout power by subtle changes in weight shift, bone alignment or modifying the contraction and relaxation of specific muscle groups. Power Punching Secrets is the compilation of these elements in body mechanics. If you have a genuine desire to refine and maximize your punching power, then the "secrets" in this book will not disappoint you. As a matter of reference, if youve read Andys first book, Dirty Fighting, you will find that the principles outlined in Power Punching Secrets lie at the other end of the self defense spectrum.

About the author

Compared to the other kids in class, I was of relatively small stature. This meant, of course, being constantly teased and bullied. At that time, the only solution was to start taking Judo lessons. My incredible and devoted sensei ́s were both from Japan - Mr. Yasuo Ozaki and Mr. Setsuo Masuda. As my love for Judo grew, my appetite for exploring the other martial arts did, as well. I began exchanging ideas and lessons with practitioners of Isshin-Ryu, Shotokan, Tae Kwon Do, Wing Chun, and even a few boxers. And yet, after years of study, there seemed to be no definitive method for generating knockout power by someone of my [still] relatively small frame. So began my pursuit and in-depth study of biomechanics and kinesiology. The final result? Power Punching Secrets!
