That was a very descriptive story. Loved the storyline. I had a hard time keeping focused because of the descriptive dialog. Hercules finished his 12 "Labors" and was still struggling with the sins of his past. Apollo decided to send him on a 13th to see if that would break the curse. Finding and retrieving a stolen string from Apollo's Lyre. Intriguing series from a variety of authors. Speed Dating with the Denizens offers up a wide variety of stories of finding love. It was an entertaining read but had a hard time with Angel Payne's writing style. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Very unfair to the book I know but whenever I see the name of Hercules I get the voice in my head of the Disney cartoon when the cyclops thing is calling him out to fight. As I read that faded away & I was caught in a web of words that would not let me escape. The dialogue between Hercules & Lois was truly beautiful prose that wound itself around you. A poetic sort of spell that kept you reading to the end. The path for these two is difficult. Past hurt & trust is a huge part their adventure.

I love the Speed Dating series and Hercules and Lo are the perfect couple. Both have trust issues but they are great together. There's a lot of action too but I love they way they both work everything out and especially their dialogue. This is another great read from the Denizens of the Underworld. Loved it. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
