About this ebook

Two girls go missing. Only one will return.

The couple that offers the highest amount will see their daughter again. The losing couple will not. Make no mistake. One child will die.

When nine-year-old best friends Charlie and Amy disappear, two families are plunged into a living nightmare. A text message confirms the unthinkable: that the girls are the victims of a terrifying kidnapping.

And when a second text message pits the two families against each other for the life of their children, the clock starts ticking for Detective Kim Stone and the squad.

Seemingly outwitted at every turn, as they uncover a trail of bodies, Kim realises that these ruthless killers might be the most deadly she has ever faced. And that their chances of bringing the girls home alive are getting smaller by the hour…

Untangling a dark web of secrets from the families’ past might hold the key to solving this case. But can Kim stay alive long enough to do so? Or will someone’s child pay the ultimate price?

An utterly addictive thriller from No.1 bestseller Angela Marsons. If you like Karin Slaughter and Robert Dugoni, you will love Lost Girls!

Can be read as a standalone.

'A completely addictive, bang up to date read!' It's not often I allow some 'me time' and have not read a book for several years due to every day family life and work etc. I stumbled across this and do not want to stop reading! It's so cleverly written and amazingly descriptive. I am only halfway through but this has gripped me so much that I wanted to express my enthusiasm and encourage anyone considering this. I will definitely pick up others by this author as this has re-ignited a love of reading.

This is a must read. The plot has many twists. It's best to leave all assumptions behind and just take in each word, each chapter, each page. Kim is a complex character, haunted by her demons, by her past but she shows great determination and strength to get the job done. Angela Marsons is a brilliant writer.

Lost Girls is a fantastic addition to the DI Stone series, as not only was it fast-paced and thrilling. But it was full of tension, twists, and shocks. Even though you're aware of whose responsible for the kidnapping of two young girls Charlie and Amy. But the way the story unfolds the desperation of the families, the viciousness of the kidnappers, and the terror of the girls themselves, and of course the sheer frustration of DI Stone and her team was just gripping to read. And once again Stone, Bryant, Kev and Stacey really shone as a team, and I loved that Kev got to flex his investigative muscles and that Kim was able to show a softer side to herself. Would recommend.
