About the author

Rajib Shaw is a professor at the Keio University, Japan. He is Chair of the Board for SEEDS Asia and CWS Japan, Co-chair of the United Nations Office for Disaster Risk Reduction (UNDRR) Asia Pacific Science Technology Advisory Group, CLA for the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change’s 6th Assessment Report and recipient of the prestigious “Pravasi Bharatiya Samman Award” 2021, from the Indian Government.

Anjula Gurtoo is a professor at the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore, India. Professor Gurtoo is an expert member of government bodies including Science and Engineering Research Board, Department of Science and Technology (DST), and Karnataka Municipal Data Society. Her awards include Chevening/Rolls-Royce Leadership Fellowship, British High Commission and the Social Science Research Award, International Development Research Centre, Canada.

Dr Satish Kumar Yawale is Associate Fellow at The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI), New Delhi, India. He has a PhD in Energy. Prior to joining TERI, Dr Yawale was with National Institute for Environmental Studies (NIES) Tsukuba, Japan, and Indian Institute for Human Settlements, Bangalore, India.
