This is a wonderfully entertaining story with great characters. There is snarky banter, attempted blackmail, a slightly crazy ex-mistress, a match-making grandfather, and a heroine who shoots the hero in the rear-end. This is an enemies-to-lovers story with lots of fun, an interesting romance, and a happy ending.

I am definitely adding this book to my list as one of my favorite historicals! I loved Jasper and Prue. I enjoyed their bantering and chemistry. Their journey to love was a joy to read. I laughed so much, and towards the end, I truly felt their anguish until they finally realized their love for each other.

I just adored this historical read. I loved both Prue and Jasper. They were so fun together, opposites who bring out the best in the other. Another great addition to this fun series.
