Both these books explicitly have sex scenes in which the heroine is forced to have sex against her will multiple times. The author is under the immensely flawed impression that if you are aroused, it must be consensual. NOPE. However, if rape/non-consent erotica is the niche in which you wish to write, then you are morally obligated to describe the content so that a reader may make an educated/consensual decision to read these scenes. Besides that, writing is merely mediocre.

Not a fan. I've read some of the authors books and I enjoyed them. but I stopped halfway through this one. As mentioned by another reviewer, the sex can only be described as rape. Also, Julian so far as no redeeming qualities. There is no real connection between the characters except Stockholm syndrome. Julian has no personality. So how is Nora so drawn to him. Perhaps if the author portrayed the relationship outside of the bedroom. But all it shows is her captivity, a bit about her relationship with Beth and then Julian comes home to beat and rape her. Sorry love some of the other books, but can't even finish this one. I like dark romance, but I can't find any romance here. :(

The title isn't an exaggeration. This book is for people who like seriously dark fantasies. Includes a young woman being abducted & repeatedly raped, a hefty dose of stockholm syndrome and a character being graphically murdered. I have read other books by the same author and thought they were ok but sadly this one was not to my taste.
