Haas heeft heel veel zin in worteltjestaart. Hij gaat naar Bakker Big, maar die verkoopt het niet. Gelukkig heeft hij wel het recept. Haas bakt die taart zelf wel. Annemarie Bon was biochemisch ingenieur, freelance journalist bij het Brabants Dagblad en hoofdredacteur van het kinderblad Taptoe, maar als kinderboekenschrijver vond zij pas echt haar draai. Ze is o.a. bekend van de boeken die ze schrijft over Haas, en ze schreef ook zes jeugdromans en Fake! over nepnieuws en bijgeloof.
