THE BATTLE IS OVER. THE WAR BEGINS.

'This is fast-paced, gripping, 'read-through-the-night' fiction' Conn Iggulden

Having barely survived the Battle of the Lost Eagle, Marcus Aquila seeks his vengeance against the murderous rebel chieftain, Calgus.

But as his cohort is sent reinforcements, Marcus is quickly surrounded by men whom he cannot trust - men who could betray his secret to the ruthlessly vengeful emperor Commodus.

With the enemy closing in, Marcus and his untrained cohort suddenly face a battle on two fronts. From outside and, more terrifyingly, from within . . .

Meticulously researched, brutally captured and utterly unputdownable, Arrows of Fury continues the bestselling EMPIRE series, securing Anthony Riches as a master of the historical adventure genre.

I really enjoyed the first book, but this was even better. I fear that I'm hooked now and can't wait to start the next one!

Young Marcus is still hiding and finding ways of fighting for the empire he is hiding from. Another great read.

Much better than the first book of the series, I read it in a matter of days. I think anyone who likes Simon Scarrow books will find this a great series to read.
