The author of this book, civil engineer Antonio Betancourt del Nogal, a Venezuelan from Caracas, grew up in that era of the last century when families often gathered and shared time through various board games: dominoes, cards, and chess were the most commonly played in his family. From a very young age, watching the adults play, he became very interested in dominoes and quickly learned how to play. A man of great intelligence, with a knack for mathematics and analysis, he studied and analyzed the keys to achieving success in partner dominoes.
