इनमें से अधिकांश राजनीतिक घटनाओं से जुड़ी हुई हैं। सरकार चाहे जिस किसी की हो; अगर वहाँ किसी प्रकार की गड़बड़ी दिखी; सरकार द्वारा ऐसे निर्णय लिये गए; जो जनहित में नहीं थे; विधायकों ने विधानसभा की गरिमा को ठेस पहुँचाई; सदन को बेवजह बाधित किया; अपना वेतन-सुविधा बढ़ाने में लगे रहे; सरकार में तबादले का खेल चला; सरकार बनाने-गिराने में कहीं खेल दिखा; कानून-व्यवस्था की स्थिति गड़बड़ाई; किसी आयोग में ऐसे लोगों को शामिल करने का प्रयास किया गया जो गलत था; हर बार बेखौफ टिप्पणी लिखने का प्रयास किया। मकसद था—व्यवस्था को बेहतर बनाना। राज्य का अहित करनेवालों पर अंकुश लगाना। ऐसे अनेक मौके आए; जब लगा कि सरकार का यह निर्णय जनता के खिलाफ है। उन मुद्दों को तीखे; लेकिन तार्किक तरीके से उठाया। इसमें कोई भेदभाव नहीं बरता। सरकार जिस किसी दल की हो; अपनी बात रखी। यह संकलन इसलिए आवश्यक है कि लोग जान सकें कि झारखंड किन हालातों से गुजरा है। यहाँ के राजनीतिज्ञों की किस तरह की भूमिका रही है।
सारी सामर्थ्य-साधन-शक्ति होने के बावजूद झारखंड विकास की दौड़ में पीछे न रहे; विकसित हो और प्रदेश की समस्याओं का अंत हो; यह पुस्तक उस आत्मालोचन का एक उपक्रम मात्र है।
