About this ebook

This book and or ebook is a translation of the introduction in the book Kasyful Ghummah 'An Jami'il Ummah, compiled by Qutb Rabbani Sheikh Abdul Wahab Ash Sha'rani. In the opening of his book, Shaykh Ash Sha'rani presents a barometer which is a concept to compromise the entire school of jurisprudence, and provide solutions to lay people in addressing differences in worship rituals.

The concept of barometer presented and offered by him in the introduction to his book is needed by ordinary people with a high level of plurality in order to create harmony and unity in diversity and difference.

I translated the introduction into Indonesian considering that the majority of the population in this country is Muslim with many differences in its school of jurisprudence, and also considering the rarity of Kasyful Ghummah in study both in Islamic boarding schools and in formal schools, and this book is rarely in the market of small book shops, only in book shops and libraries with complete catalogs. Thus, the barometer concept of Sheikh Ash Sha'rani is rarely understood by ordinary people in Indonesia.

Hopefully this translation will be useful for myself, those mentioned above, and any practitioners of Islamic sharia who are doubtful and confused by the many differences in practice and jurisprudence in the books of madhhab or in practice found in society.

The end of our petition: All praise belongs only to God, the Lord of all nature.
