This short but entertaining shifter romance is about a young woman (Gabriella) who inherits a rather neglected B&B from her deceased Nana & gets an unexpected guest (Edward) from the Midnight Fang Clan & the story begins from here. The plot is entertaining with interesting, well-developed characters. There is: A wolf shifter (Edward), a human female (Gabriella), a shifter baby (Falon), twists & turns, drama, rite of passage, an unexpected surprise, annoyance, strange attraction, a well-meaning manipulative mother, surprises, a little steam, mates, happiness & a satisfying ending. I enjoyed reading this shifter romance novella & would recommend it

Enjoyed reading this short story, it has a good storyline. I can't wait for more from this author. I received this book as a FREE ARC copy to read and I voluntarily leave this review.

I really enjoyed Edward, I found that because he had been sheltered, to an extent, from the human world it gave him a kind of innocence and naivete that was endearing. Whilst he is expecting his quest to be one that will test his strength as a warrior it just may be something completely different, something that he is ill-prepared for. Luckily for him Gabriella is the woman who will be at his side during this quest and as Gabriella teaches Edward more of the human world and helps him take care of an orphaned child the two grow closer, their attraction and chemistry undeniable. Wonderful characters and another great story to add to the collection. I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book.
